Racing So They Can Ride 5K/10K started the 2011-2012 GO Series with 4 runners tied for 1st place in the series. With a challenging loop course in the Columns-JCS area ending at Gander Mountain, Matt Joiner (20 series pts) was the overall 5K winner with a time of 21:01.  Patty Spry (20 series pts) was the overall female winner in the 5K. Arthur Priddy (20 series pts) was the overall 10K winner with a time of 35:43, while Stephanie Linford (20 series pts) was the overall female winner.

Wade Norris, Wells Johnstone, Charles Reagan and Kristen Doyle were overall winners in the Humboldt Strawberry Festival 5K and 10K road races this past Saturday.

Wade ran 19:24 (men) and Wells (age 11) turned in a 24:27 in the 5K. In the 10K (6.2 miles), Charles (men) finished with a time of 37:51, and Kristen ran 51:51.

Masters winners in the 5K were Todd Cotton (male, 22:57) and Valerie Johnstone (27:36), and Grand Masters winners were Ted Nelson (male, 23:24) and Janet Butler (32:47).

Masters winners in the 10K were David Johnson (male, 47:17) and Lisa Terry (54:32), and Grand Masters winners were Doug Cook (male, 51:11) and Lisa Jereinovich (1:02.13).
